What is Bidcoins-in-a-Box?

Before we get to what Bidcoins-in-a-Box is, let’s talk about what it isn’t.

Bidcoins-in-a-Box are medium-density fibreboard (MDF) products with Scriptures engraved on them. So what is Bidcoins-in-a-Box?

Bidcoins-in-a-Box is a practical way to fill yourself with the Word of God by intertwining scripture reading and prayer, and memorising the Scriptures.

The name Bidcoin was created by joining two words: “Bid”, which means pray in Afrikaans and “coin” – well, we all know what a coin is. When literally translated Bidcoin means “PrayerCoin”.

The image of the praying hands on the front of the Bidcoin and the words “pray without ceasing” reminds us to converse with God throughout the day, and to not limit our prayers to a few minutes in the morning. The Scripture on the back of the Bidcoin is an invitation memorize the Scriptures and to read it with our hearts and minds.

To further distinguish our product from others, we refer to it as Bidcoins-in-a-Box. So next time you are social distancing at a braai, remember to ask your friends and family whether they’ve heard of Bidcoins-in-a-Box, and not just of Bidcoin.
